Concentration, gas volumes and yield

•••
What this model shows

The balance readings and gas volumes come from the model: 1 cm of ribbon is taken as exactly 0.010 g, and the hydrogen is measured at room temperature and pressure, where 1 mol of gas fills 24 dm³.

The acid is drawn deeper than 10.0 cm³ would be, and the ribbon straight and at half its length, so both show. The waits are shortened.

The magnified acid is a model, not to scale: 12 H⁺ and 12 Cl⁻ ions stand for the 0.00500 mol of HCl, and its colours are only labels.

With reduced motion, each step finishes at once.
